Keep moving forward

February 25, 2011

One of the biggest mistakes people make is wait for the perfect moment in order to move forward. Many times it’s easy to not move forward if you don’t have the funds needed to make something happen, or feel as if the perfect opportunity has not arrived. However, moving forward does not require money, and it definitely does not require the perfect opportunity.  It’s a matter of you making a decision to take steps towards your dream or goal, and continuing to stay encouraged.

I’ve always made it a goal to keep moving forward, even if the steps I’m taking seem so insignificant at the time.  A huge lesson I’ve learned is that God blesses our actions, and not our intentions or dreams. Too many people have great intentions to do something huge, or dream about doing something amazing, but that’s as far as it goes. Move forward! Even if  the steps you’re taking seem small. Even small steps can be steps forward.

Lost

February 23, 2011

When running a company such as Aphesis, it’s so easy to get lost in the business aspects and forget why you do what you do.  I’ve made a promise to myself to never do that again.

When I first started Aphesis I was having fun, while at the same time trying to be smart with ever step I took, and staying focused on the purpose of this company. Have I made mistakes? Plenty, but mistakes are only stones that build the road to success. I just made that up, not bad, huh?

With that being said, here’s a sneak peek of the fun that is to come! Be patient, child, be patient.

04.12.11

February 17, 2011

04.12.11 is a huge date!! My homie Moses Uvere’s new record will be released under the label Chaos Theory. Below is an official statement the record label released this week.

Everyone make plans to get a hold of this album. I’ve heard pieces of it and it sounds super duper awesome! I’m excited and know that this will turn out to be something great for Moses.

Speaking of, Moses and I will be hitting the road this weekend on our way to Houston. I will be taking some Aphesis shirts to sell, and Moses will be doing a show. If you want more info on where we will be, hit me up at acastellanos@aphesisclothing.com and I will send all you Houstoners(if that’s a word) the info!

Snow days are long gone

February 15, 2011

Two weeks ago we had snow fallin like it was no ones business. As much fun as snow is, it was crazy staying home from work  for 4 days straight! But we made the best of it and stepped out to our back yard to build a mini snow man.

Valentines day is a day for love and friendship. Why not express your love for your significant other, or friend with a brass knuckles mug? It clearly says, “Your love knocks me out everyday.” You can even have that put on the mug.(Available at Urban Outfitters for $24)

An Aphesis shirt is always a great gift! (Available here for $15.99) What? You’re reading AaronofAphesis’ blog!

Sites like Shutterfly and Wal-Mart offer services to help you create a photo book. This is always a great way to have all of ya’lls greatest photo memories in one book. You can also insert small notes beside each photo that will express what that moment meant to you. Then to top it off, you can end the last page with a great photo of the both of you and below have the words, “To be continued…” (Pricing varies depending on size and pages)

Fellas, a great way to impress your girlfriend or wife is to plan a great dinner for the both of you. I know you may be thinking, “I don’t know how to cook”, neither do I. That’s why Bertoli offers these great and quick Italian dinners that come already prepared. All you have to do is break it open and heat it on a pan for 10 minutes and enjoy a great homestyle Italian meal. Top it off with some Pillsbury Crescent rolls and you have a full meal!(Both items are found at your local Wal-Mart or grocery store) I recomend the Chicken Florentine & Farfelle

To make your night even more special, have a friend do you a favor, or pay him a few bucks to hand deliver an invitation to her at work or at home, inviting her to a great dinner with you. Include the date and time you will be picking her up. Make it look nice and presentable and deliver it with her favorite chocolate bar or candy. **Helpful tip** Microsoft Word has an option to create invitations.

Have a Happy Valentines Day, and good luck! Let me know if you end up using any of these ideas.
