Customer Spotlight

March 31, 2011

Today’s customer spotlight gives a big shout out to Ashley of Mesquite, Tx. Ashley happened to see the Aphesismobile driving in downtown and later realized we lived in the same neighborhood. She then tracked me down through my website and asked if she could purchase a shirt without having to pay shipping. Of course it would be silly for me to charge her shipping when she lives in the same neighborhood! We met at a nearby gas station and Ashley purchased the Aphesis tree shirt as a surprise for her husband on his birthday this Saturday.

Ashley, thanks for your support, and happy early birthday to your husband! Enjoy the shirt!

I also want to remind every one of the Japan Relief Fund that is going on from now till April 8th. A portion of the proceeds of all Aphesis sales will be going to the American Red Cross in helping those who have been affected by the tragedies in Japan. Please, please, please help me raise tons of money to help those in need. Buy a shirt, spread the word, make a donation! Any amount counts.

Japan is in my heart

March 24, 2011

For the last couple of days a heavy burden has been on my heart for the people of Japan. I believe that when tragedies such as these occur it is our responsibility to do what we can.  The responsibility is greater as a follower of Christ. We cannot claim to know God and yet not do anything about the needs in this world. Contrary to what many people may say, God’s heart breaks for the people of Japan, and this is not a punishment brought on them.

With that being said, from now till April 8th, a portion of all Aphesis sales will be going towards the American Red Cross to help Japan. Aside from donating  a portion of all Aphesis sales to the American Red Cross, I, along with my family will be personally donating to bring help in this time of need.

So head over to www.aphesisclothing.com and do your part. If you already own a shirt, buy another one, or buy it for a friend, dog, uncle, cousin, or whatever. You can also make a donation by clicking here.

Modern Amusement

March 10, 2011

One of the very first boutiques that ever carried Aphesis was a boutique called Shoe Gypsy, in Ft. Worth. It was at this boutique that I was first introduced to California-based brand Modern Amusement. As I examined every piece of their line, I immediately fell in love with them because of their attention to detail, the quality of their garments, and their color combinations.

Immediately after I got home that day I looked them up and shot an email to a contact person on their site, expressing my appreciation for the brand. Shortly after I received a reply thanking me for my kind words and asking for my address.

In a matter of days I received a package in the mail that included a thank you note, some very nice pins with their famous crow logo, some super awesome purple socks, that I still wear to this day, and a super solid key chain.

This act of kindness stuck with me and really helped me understand the art of making an impression on someone. To this day I try to apply what I learned through MA that day.

This story doesn’t have a happy ending though.  MA ceased its operations early last year. Read about it here.

Although the company has ceased its operations, MA continues to inspire Aphesis to this day. Pourin out some Kool-Aid for ya, MA.

Congrats Juventus

March 9, 2011

Last night I rushed after work to pick up my wife and daughter’s and head to my nieces championship soccer game.

Congrats to Juventus for such a great season! Abeni, you did a great job! I know you will come back stronger next season.

Here’s a glimpse of one of the future owners of Aphesis.

Flame show recap

March 8, 2011

This last Saturday I had the opportunity to take Aphesis to Ft.Worth for a concert featuring Flame.  Here are a few pics I took with my iPhone.

I’ve been setting up at events for a few years now and one of the things I’ve worked on perfecting is my presentation. One of the things I’ve learned without even trying, is to keep it simple and attractive. This allows the person to see what we have without having to be distracted by props.

There are things that I still want to add to my set up, but I’m happy with the direction it’s going.

The event was so inspiring and God really dealt with me while being there.  Big props to Flame for letting God use him the way He does.

Huge thanks to Gman and April for allowing me to set up again at one of their awesome events. Also, big thanks to everyone that stopped by to talk or purchase a shirt.

Flame show 03.5.11

March 4, 2011

So I pretty much suck for not having this sooner, but it’s been a super busy week, give me a break.   I know it’s last minute info, but if you can make it out tomorrow to Ft.Worth I will be setting up an Aphesis booth at the Flame show. If you’re there, stop by and kick it with me.
