Problems

December 14, 2011

Wow, I apologize for the lack of blogs lately. One of the most challenging things for me is to balance a family, a full-time job, a part-time job, ministry, and Aphesis. Non the less, these are all things that I love and are close to my heart, so I continue to do the best I can in the season I’m in.

Enough of the mushy mush, I want to ask you guys a favor, please. Everyone go and check out my good friend Moses Uvere’s new music video “Problems.” Shout out to Moses for making it happen, and for sportin the lastest Aphesis design, “The World Through Your Eyes.”

Childhood Dreams

November 10, 2011

Ran into an old middle school/highschool friend the other day. It was good to see him continuing to pursue his passion, cars.

1963 Chevy Impala

There are so many memories that come to mind when I run into this guy. Memories of spending our whole middle school Summer cruisin on our Lowrider bikes (yes, I had a Lowrider bike), and rollin up our junior year of high school hoppin on hydros in his 1963 pearl white Impala.   It’s still a dream of mine to one day own a 1962 Impala and fix up another Lowrider bike.

Congrats, Julian. Hope to see you again soon, homie.

Man Up Dallas (recap)

October 17, 2011

First of all I want to apologize for two things. #1, for the quality of my pics. I’m praying I’m able to get a hold of a new camera, with better quality. #2, for the lack of event pics. I didn’t really have time to fully enjoy the event being that I was at my booth most of the time. I was fortunate to have amazing help from my good friend’s Moses and Juan, so I was able to sneak in here and there.

So really the only pics I was able to take were of some improvements I’ve made with my booth set up. Enjoy!

One of the things that makes Aphesis stand out is the fact that each shirt carries a meaning. So now I run with that in mind and make it available for people to stop and read what each shirt means.

Big shout out to my co-workers Carolyn and Brittany for helping me put together these thought bubbles.

Can you find the small mistake my wife and I made on this board? Didn’t notice it till later. Whoops!

Here is the only pic I was able to take the one time I snuck in. 4,000 people!!!

The event definitely was life changing for many people. We showed up at around 3:30pm, and there were people already lined up outside waiting for 5:30 to come around. The event kicked off with a premier of the new Man Up movie, followed by a concert that had everyone going bazurk!!(is that you spell that word?) The whole event was an incredible experience, and it was awesome to be able to see the amazing things God is continuing to do through Reach Records.

Big thanks to those of you who purchased a shirt, stopped by to talk to me, and allowed me the opportunity to pray with you. Please follow Aphesis on Facebook to stay updated on what’s going on.

Man Up Tour

October 5, 2011

I’m super excited to anounce that I will be taking Aphesis to an event that I know is going to make a huge impact on our culture today. Reach Records presents the Man Up Tour.

This a tour to promote Reach Record’s new short film that is a part of a movement to call all men in the hip-hop culture to step up and be the man God has called them to be. I encourage you all to make it a priority to be there.

September 20, 2011

ATTENTION: Originally I had posted the blog post below. Turns out I will not be able to take Aphesis to Teezilla this weekend. Please go and support this awesome event for an opportunity to see some of the amazing talent here in Texas.

My sincere apologies,

Aaron of Aphesis

Aphesis at the DEOM (recap)

September 19, 2011

This past Saturday I took Aphesis out to the Deep Ellum Outdoor Market.

Set up before the space opened up for the public

Aphesis booth

As you can see, I only took 3 pics. It’s very hard to take tons of pics when you are the only one manning your booth. I can definitely say that I enjoyed meeting all the great people that either set up a booth, or stopped by to enjoy the event. Big shout out to Brandon Castillo who is putting all of this together to bring together a community of creative individuals. Dallas needs more stuff like this.

Aphesis at DEOM

September 13, 2011

This Saturday I will be taking Aphesis out to the Deep Ellum Outdoor Market. The DEOM is an event that brings all sorts of local Dallas businesses and artists together.  This is one of those events I’m super excited about for a couple of reasons. I love events that focus on bringing awareness to the talent that is found in Dallas, and I also love events like these because it’s a bunch of people in one place sharing their passion.

I invite you to  come out and say hello, and check out the new stuff from Aphesis in person.
